Walmart Unveiled Their Microsoft Kinect Pricing

One of the largest American retailers – Walmart unveiled its pricing for Microsoft's upcoming Xbox 360 controller-free Kinect device. It offers a package deal for $199. However, Microsoft has not reveled price of the device officially.

Microsoft Kinect launches on November 4 in North America. It is being assumed that it will revolutionise the gaming experience. It allows users to control their Xbox 360 using body movements.

The most renowned technology website - writes about it, “Games with Kinect support that customers can select from for free include "Kinect Dance Central", "Kinect Joy Ride", "Kinectimals", "Kinect Sports," "Kinect Adventures" and an as-yet-un-announced "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows" by EA Play.”

Further the website adds, “For an additional (but reduced) price, customers can also pre-order a second game from the above selection.”

Microsoft Kinect, formerly known as 'Project Natal', has been available for pre-order in some online stores.

Another top news website - writes about it, “Along with the ‘free’ one game of the buyer’s choice, Wal-Mart will also allow customers to order additional games if they want. However, for the additional games, the buyers will need to pay their full cost – which may range between $49 and $59 -; though the gift card can also be used for the purchase.”

Walmart offers the best option for customers because they can use their gift card for the purchase.

Further the website adds, “Meanwhile, users who wish to try out the Kinect – which Microsoft is offering for a $150 “estimate” price – can do so at Microsoft locations in Scottsdale, Arizona; San Diego, California; Mission Viejo, California; and Lone Tree, Colorado.”

So, users can go with Microsoft also in the above mentioned locations. There is expected price also which is offered by Microsoft. While, price of Kinect is yet to be announced officially.

Destination Arcade is a New Way to Browse Content on Xbox LIVE Arcade

Now, Xbox LIVE Arcade would have a new feature to browse content in another way - Destination Arcade. You will able to discover new games and content through an easy-to-use visual browser.

The commencement came in light through, “Next week we’ll be launching another way to browse content on Xbox LIVE Arcade and we’re calling it Destination Arcade. With a growing library of over 250 Arcade games, Destination Arcade will allow you to discover new games and content you enjoy through an easy-to-use visual browser. You’ll have the ability to sort by price, community rating, and more! Also, stay up to date on the latest arcade releases through a news feed and also find out what games your friends like and recommend. This brand new recommendation engine & visual browser app will be available in the US on July 14th from the Games Marketplace section of the dashboard.”

So, the Destination Arcade will be launched till next week. It will be featured with latest arcade releases through a news feed and a visual browser. The application will be available in the US on July 14th from the Games Marketplace.

In an analysis of Destination Arcade, writes, “The newly designed Xbox 360 S is scheduled to go on sale later this month in countries outside of the United States. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for Destination Arcade to appear on consoles around the world. Currently, there is no word on when Destination Arcade might be available outside of the US. There is a lot happening over the coming months for Xbox, including the launch of Kinect on November 4th and Xbox LIVE appearing on Microsoft’s new mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7.

There are currently 25 million Xbox LIVE subscribers around the world and it is thought over 70% of these users access Xbox LIVE Arcade in a year. This new way to browse Arcade games might be well needed and Microsoft will be hoping that it is well received by users.”
